Born Too Late Ice Dyes is community and family-oriented. Kristin Suzanne is a part of many shows, fairs, and festivals in the Lewisburg area and has many sets to bring together families and friends. The name Born Too Late started with family. It is something Kristin’s mother used to tell her as a child. She loved the fashion and music from the 60s, but wasn’t around to enjoy it when it was popular.
The Designer
Kristin Suzanne is a self-taught ice dye artist from Watsontown, PA, who specializes in a large array of patterns, colors, and techniques. She used to tie dye in her teens and was immediately drawn to the power it gave her to create. A few years ago, frustrated at a boring white skirt, Kristin picked up tie dying again and decided to create a business out of this love. Through tutorials on YouTube and inspiration on FaceBook, Kristin was able to practice her techniques and teach herself to master the designs of her choosing. Even today, she is continuing to broaden her inventory through unique blends of colors, swirls, and trial and error. Often she is inspired by nature and the world around her ... including the radar maps shown on the news during the weather segment! These natural themes come from a respect and awe of the environment that spans into her clothes. Kristin enjoys upcycling pieces she finds to give them a second life as beautiful ice dye and keep an ecofriendly view of the environment.
